Just a good pick for a city break in McDonough with great value for money. The beds were comfortable, which was a relief after a long drive. Make sure to ask for extra towels at check-in.

The check-in process at Clarion Pointe was quick. Staff at the front desk greeted me with a smile, making me feel welcome right away. The King Suite I booked was a comfortable size and clean, which I appreciated. The walk-in shower was especially nice, having the handicap accessible design. However, the room had some drawbacks. I found a few outlets difficult to reach, and one sparked when I plugged in my laptop. The hallway didn’t have the best smell, which was a bit off-putting. Breakfast options were very minimal, just a few packaged items. I didn’t eat there much as it seemed underwhelming. The location was convenient, close to shops and restaurants. Even with the issues, it may be a decent choice for a short stay if you prioritize location and a friendly staff.

missingWrote a review on 24 Augnoisy environment
Unfortunately, the room had major issues that really impacted my stay. The metal platform for the beds squeaked noisily with any movement, not ideal for a restful night. The noise level from adjacent rooms, especially with children screaming, made it hard to feel at ease. Water issues in the shower were frustrating — it started out lukewarm and turned cold quickly, making for an unpleasant experience. On top of that, the hallway had a less-than-desirable smell, which is not what you want during your stay.

The bed was super comfy and we loved the smart TV in our room! The hotel offers a cozy garden area and a relaxing lounge for some downtime. There was a minor mix-up with the reservation that took a bit to sort out, so maybe confirm ahead of time. 😊

great stay with minor drawbacks
The walk-in shower in our room made it easy for us to feel comfortable and safe. Also, having a spacious King Suite allowed us to relax after a long day of traveling, which we really appreciated.
The lack of breakfast options was a downside, especially for such an early start.

The hotel was conveniently located near several restaurants, with friendly staff who made check-in a breeze. The room was clean and modern but had some odd odors. Breakfast left much to be desired, and noise levels from the highway were distracting at times.
